Jodi Ramirez, PT, DPT

Jodi received her Bachelor’s degree of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. She went on to graduate from The University of the Incarnate Word School of Physical Therapy in San Antonio, TX in 2020.

Growing up, Jodi spent many years as a gymnast before transitioning into competitive cheerleading where she competed nationally around the country with multiple club teams and then cheered for the Texas Longhorns. She served as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Texas Cheer, Pom (Dance Team), Diving, Soccer, Volleyball, and Football teams. She achieved her Personal Training Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine and proceeded to work in a variety of performance centers and gyms.

Jodi suffered multiple spine injuries throughout her life due to cheerleading, which led her on a journey to finding quality care and a long-term solution that would truly help her. She also had personal training clients who were getting injured and wanted to be able to help them improve their quality of life. These passions led her down a new path. She began volunteering at various clinics/hospitals and serving as a Physical Therapy Technician to gain experience before enrolling and completing her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Jodi’s passion is to help people get back to living their best lives without fear of re-injury and guide people to reach their greatest potential. Jodi enjoys working with all ages from geriatrics to youth sports and others in between. Jodi also has a special place in her heart for people suffering from chronic low back pain due to her own personal journey and loves helping people realize their true potential and the natural healing power of our bodies. She plans to continue to build her clinical knowledge as she pursues board certification in Sports (SCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and certification in dry needling.

At home, Jodi enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding, slalom water skiing, wakeboarding, dirt biking, weight training, yoga, musical and dance performance, spending time with friends, and, most importantly, spending time with her husband and dog.
