Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator
Amy is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with over 25 years of experience helping people to maintain optimal health and performance through nutrition. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods & Nutrition from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and completed her dietetic internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
Amy specializes in helping people of all ages design personalized nutrition plans to prevent or manage chronic diseases, food allergies and intolerances, improve sports performance and maintain vitality. She enjoys teaching classes as well as working with clients individually.
“As a distance runner in high school and college, I knew that my diet had a big influence on my athletic performance. I was curious to figure out how. This is how I chose nutrition as my career.”
Amy’s annual travel to Italy and France influenced her study and practice of nutrition, from a Mediterranean lifestyle perspective, where food is revered and people take time to enjoy life over a delicious meal with family and friends. When not working, Amy enjoys being a Mom, doing just about anything outdoors, traveling, and enjoying good food with family and friends.
