Zac received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island in 2013. He then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Franklin Pierce University earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016.
Growing up, Zac was an avid baseball player, playing three seasons a year from the time he was 8 years old through high school. As he grew as an athlete, he developed a strong interest in learning more about the biomechanics of baseball and how the body works. When he sustained an ankle injury that required physical therapy, he knew he had found his life’s calling.
When treating orthopedic and sport injuries, Zac enjoys utilizing a functional approach and manual therapy techniques to achieve the patient’s desired goals. Due to his love of baseball, Zac has a special interest in treating shoulder/throwing injuries and providing performance development services at the Cioffredi Sports Performance Center. Zac is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. This advanced certification requires a minimum of 2,000 hours of direct patient care in orthopaedic physical therapy practice. He plays a large role in the Cioffredi Mentorship Program leading monthly literature and technique reviews with the staff. He currently practices out of the Lebanon Office.
Outside of the clinic Zac has completed multiple obstacle course races such as tough mudders and Spartan races. He earned the Spartan trifecta in 2018. He also enjoys fishing, snowboarding, running, biking, wake boarding, kayaking/canoeing, and hiking with his wife, daughter, and dog.
“I worked with Zac over the course of a month and a half to retrain and strengthen long forgotten muscles; now my arm pain is gone, and so is a lot of back pain that I didn’t realize I was living with.” -S.M.
“After about 9 months of being in a walking boot due to a severe ankle injury just 6 months later I’m able to run, jump, and feel strong. All thanks to Zac! He helped me build back my strength as well as my confidence in my ability. I always looked forward to my appointments with Zac he made the hard work worthwhile. He and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly and always put a smile on my face. I highly recommend this facility!” -Cade Salzano
