In Good Company
-Sue Fitzgerald
“Dance is my outlet… When I first came in, it was very painful for me to just move my leg out a little bit. I was really sore and a lot of the twirls and stuff I couldn’t do… And then things got crazy.”
“My daughter had her baby, five days later my husband passed away, and I didn’t have a furnace running… If it wasn’t for this guy [Tyler Gendron, PT], I wouldn’t have been able to make it through this. He’s made me be able to be functional.”
Sue was advised to get scheduled with an orthopedic surgeon after getting some imaging back, “But no, no, no. My life is… too much, I cannot do something like that. I kept saying, I’m going to Physical Therapy. It’s working and I’m going to keep doing it because I know it works…

“I was so determined now that I’m the only person. I have to be functional.“
…I was so determined now that I’m the only person. I have to be functional. I want it, so I didn’t just come into my appointments. I went back and I did the homework Tyler gave me.”

Tyler Gendron, PT and Sue Fitzgerald work together on step down exercises at the Cioffredi & Associates clinic in Grantham, NH.
”We’ve seen some really nice improvements. It’s a good collaboration. Sue has done a really good job of communicating with me where she’s at and what she needs so we can work on specific strategies to break down tasks into different, manageable bits… Just coming in today, she told me, ‘Going upstairs is getting better. Going downstairs is still difficult though.’ So we’re adapting and progressing exercises today that work on that.” -Tyler Gendron, PT, DPT, ATC
“Without Tyler doing this for me, I wouldn’t be able to participate in something that I really enjoy. It improved like 100%. Now I can twirl around and I don’t have to limit myself. And that’s wonderful. My legs are working! I can do performances and not be in pain… I’m just tickled to be able to dance again!”
