New Year, Imagination, and Making Dreams Come True
A message from Cioffredi & Associates Founder, Billy Cioffredi, PT

More than 30 years ago, my wife and I bought a couple of seasonal cottages on a lake in northern Vermont. They were really shacks, and they sat right next to each other. We didn’t have children yet, but we had the idea that maybe, one day, we could turn the two shacks into a single, better building—especially if we had kids.
Well, we had four children, all born within five and a half years of each other. Our family and my business required a lot of attention back then, but I still carried a dream of creating a warm and comfortable seasonal home where our family could enjoy time together.
Over the years, I looked at endless magazines, pictures, and designs. Eventually, I came up with a concept I really loved. I could finally see it clearly in my mind. It was no longer a vague idea—it was real.
It took some time before we were able to get started on the project, and the process wasn’t smooth. The partially built structure virtually sat fallow for a few years. But I never lost the dream. When we eventually returned to the project and completed it, it looked just like what I had imagined. Two years ago, we held our first family reunion there, with all of our children and their spouses.
As the New Year recently arrived, I found myself reflecting on what this experience taught me. I had a dream, and I used my imagination to create something real in my future. Things didn’t happen in a straight line, but I never “lost” the dream. Instead, I kept returning to it, shaping it over time. I created this part of my future.
I try to carry this perspective with me —creating dreams while appreciating the richness of the experiences along the way. I hope your year ahead is filled with meaningful dreams and rich experiences on the road to your future.
Best wishes,
